Ugly Montreal

Montreal is, for the most part, a beautiful city but it also has its share of eyesores. A new feature here at Vanishing Montreal which will profile the eyesores in our city. Now, like I stated a few days ago, I love old buildings with a lot of weathered character to them. The older, the better. But then there are many buildings or houses out there which I find, well, simply ugly, no matter how old or new the building is.  Case in point : the Rogers building in downtown Montreal. What a rusty eyesore! It's surprising that something so ugly and dirty looking can be seen in the middle of the beautiful downtown core. The building desperately needs a facelift.

Montréal est, pour la plupart, une très belle ville, mais il a aussi des horreurs visuelles ici et la. Alors voici une nouvelle rubrique à Vanishing Montréal qui profilera les horreurs dans notre ville. Comme je l'ai dit il y a quelques jours, j'aime les vieux bâtiments avec beaucoup de caractère ancien. Le plus vieux le meilleur que c'est. Mais alors il y a beaucoup de bâtiments ou des maisons aux alentours que je trouve tout simplement laid, peu importe l'âge du bâtiment. Exemple: l'édifice Rogers au centre-ville de Montréal. Un monument de rouille! Il est surprenant que quelque chose d'aussi laid et sale se trouve au milieu du beau centre-ville. Le bâtiment a désespérément besoin d'une peau neuve!
