Panoramic photo of the old Franciscan church in the Shaughnessy Village. I took photos of the church just a couple of weeks prior to being demolished in a fire in January 2010. The church had been abandoned for a long time and part of the wall had collapsed at the back. The church made headlines again last week when hearings on the future of the empty lot that was left after the church and monastery / library were demolished. Of course, some developers want to build condos there but residents of the Village want a park instead. More photos at Flickr.

Photo panoramique de la vieille église Franciscaine dans le Shaughnessy Village. Je pris ces photos quelques semaines avant sa démolition à la suite d’un incendie en janvier 2010. L'église avait été abandonnée depuis longtemps et même une partie du mur à l'arrière c'était effondré. L'église a fait les manchettes à nouveau la semaine dernière lors des consultations sur l'avenir du grand terrain vague après que l'église et le monastère / bibliothèque ont été démolis.
