This is the kind of infill that is virtually impossible in Toronto. I love all these micro attempts at boosting densities in pre 1950's areas of Montreal. Riding the old streets by bike in the summer, I don't think locals know how awesome these builds often are. In Toronto, 15 floors high seems to be the minimum for infill....unless it is two million dollar plus town homes. The density is so oppressive compared to these little infill builds.
I know it is not awesome everywhere though, I was on Allard near Newman in Ville Emard, and thought WTF is this? I do miss the old pre WW1 factory building that was there.
